(WIDK By Brittany Hahn) – Oh you don’t have the money to pay child support? Liar.

Ah, Facebook, one of the top ways to get people in trouble these days. The social media site helped the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s office charge a father, with money, for not paying support.

“Bad dad” Christopher Robinson, 23, is facing three felony counts of failure to support his 3-year-old; records show that he never made any child support payments.

The very ‘swag’ picture of Robinson on Facebook, posing with tons of cash and liquor bottles, helped the district attorney’s office build a solid case against him.

If found guilty on all three counts, Robinson could face up to 11 years in jail, reports ABC News.

(iWIDK By Brittany Hahn) – This isn’t the first time social media caused a huge problem…

New Jersey man, Shawn Moore, posted a photo on Facebook of his 11-year-old son posing with a .22 rifle, which was apparently the boy’s birthday present; this prompted child services to show up at the family’s door. 

According to Momania, Moore claims that he bought his son the gun to use strictly on hunting trips; he believes someone who saw the picture on social media took action and called an anonymous child abuse hotline.

Welfare investigators, along with four police men, were at the house requesting to see Moore’s guns.

Because the officials showed up at Moore’s house without a warrant, and allegedly wouldn’t leave.

Swiss police officers in Zurich recently arrested an unlicensed acupuncturist who was indicted in the summer of last year for intentionally spreading human disease and causing serious bodily harm.

According to The Epoch Times, the unidentified defendant stopped showing up for scheduled court appearances, which prompted the police to storm his house earlier this week.

The investigation began last year when several of the defendant’s music students traced the source of their infections back to the man’s use of contaminated needles in his unlicensed practice.

A medical expert who testified on behalf of the prosecution stated that it is most likely that the man deliberately used a syringe to transmit the virus.

(iWIDK By Rebecca Arden) - She wasn’t the smartest robber … but he’s getting her back for it. 

Arkansas businessman Allen Engstrom’s iPad was stolen during a recent flight and he gave up hope of finding it, until the thief started posting “selfie” photos from the iPad. 

When the thief decided to steal the iPad, she didn’t realize that Engstrom had it backed up to his family devices, therefore any picture she takes automatically gets sent to Engstrom, his wife and his son.

This is how Engstrom found his iPad thief … when he began receiving “selfie” photos she would take on the device, according to MStarz.

Engstrom has now begun posting the (unflattering) pictures on his social networking sites in hopes that someone will help him find the woman in the photos.

He also claims that, “it has been a continuing fountain of entertainment for me.”

Some of his followers have assisted though, he now knows the woman’s Instagram name and that she lives in Phoenix, Arizona.

(iWIDK By Rebecca Arden) - It’s pretty bad when the contestants can spell the words but the judges can’t. 

12-year-old Sierra Shoemaker fought back after she was disqualified from her spelling bee after spelling “Braille” correctly – and was told she was wrong. 

The California sixth grader was participating in the Selma Unified School District’s spelling bee when she was given the word, “Braille.”

According to Time, Sierra spelled the word correctly, but the judge’s sheet and the “word master” had it spelled with only one “L,” which is inaccurate.

They informed Sierra she was disqualified for misspelling the word and she walked away with second place, which was still impressive but did not allow her to continue as a finalist in the California State Spelling Championship.

Second place did not sit well with Sierra, her family or the school district and they attempted to appeal the decision.

After her appeal was denied, the Selma School District lobbied back on her behalf and won. The board made an exception that allows the district to send three, not the usual two students to the State Championship.

Sierra will now be competing in the State Championship later this year.

(iWIDK By Lauren Keough) - A man desperately attempted to end his marriage.  

Alfredo Fortunato Malespini III, 31, is charged with recklessly endangering another person, a second-degree misdemeanor; disorderly conduct, a third-degree misdemeanor; and firing a weapon inside the city limits of Bradford.

According to Bradfordera,  at 8:56 p.m. March 2, Bradford City Police were dispatched to the Edna Avenue residence for a report of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the hand. McKean County 911 dispatchers reported that a man had intentionally shot his finger off and was currently still inside the residence with the weapon.

The gunshot badly mangled Malespini’s finger, but didn’t remove the ring he was trying to shoot off, police said.

(iWIDK By Brittany Hahn) – Blaming an ex is normal on many occasions, but this is a bit weird.

Mychia Vang, a woman from Georgia went to the police Tuesday along with her mother to report that her ex-husband cast a spell on her home.

Vang told a sheriff that her ex-husband was able to tell where she was at any given time… hence the ‘spell.’

Vang and her mother also told an officer that her ex-husband was the reason she was ill, reports 234 Globe.

The officer took action by… basically not doing anything.

(iWIDK By Lauren Keough) - A couple’s scam was revealed. 

Michael Condor, 35, and Carrol Lee Leazer, 39, were arrested Monday on charges of aggravated assault because the couple let one of their co-workers at a Dollar Tree store bite into one of the doughnuts.

According to ibtimes, X-rays revealed that Michael Condor, 35, and Carole Lee Leazer-Hardman, 39, had each swallowed several razor blades after tampering with the donuts. The couple had planned to use the resulting injuries to sue a local Smith’s Food and Drug store in the attempted scam.

The two were charged on suspicion of aggravated assault, filing a false police report, and ruining a perfectly good pastry.

(iWIDK By Omar Guzman) – Mix-up at the mortuary.

A California mortuary buried the wrong woman despite protests from relatives.

Evan Davidson, 73, was shocked when he looked in to the open casket and realized he didn’t recognize the corpse.

Davidson, who lived with his wife for 51 years, informed the Simpson Family Mortuary but was told that he was mistaken.

The mortuary proceeded with the burial despite Davidson’s continued protest.

Later, the mortuary admitted to burying the wrong person.

Workers initially told Davidson that bodies looked different once they were embalmed, but even Davidson recognized his late wife when asked to come in and identify the right body.

According to FOX News, Davidson has hired an attorney to petition an investigation.

(iWIDK By Brittany Hahn) – He forgot his receipt… and to take out the counterfeit bills…

Wisconsin man, Jarad S. Carr, tried to return a printer to a Walmart store without any proof that he bought it there, and with two counterfeit hundred dollar bills in it… oops.

Walmart naturally wouldn’t allow Carr to return the printer, which caused Carr to flip-out in the middle of the store.  Walmart called the police.

All said and done, Carr was charged with attempted theft by fraud, forgery and resisting arrest, reports The Huffington Post. 

Police officers are now looking for a man who was with Carr, a possible person of interest.

(iWIDK By Alex Dorian) – Think you’ve seen irresponsible? Think again.

A video taken from a cell phone shows Rachelle Braaten, a mother-of-two from Washington State, helping her 22-month-old son take a hit from a bong almost as big as he is.

According to Opposing Views, a search warrant was issued by the Centralia Police Department upon the release of the video and 40 pot plants as well as several unregistered firearms were discovered at the premises.

While Braaten was charged with unlawfully delivering a controlled substance to a minor and manufacturing marijuana, her boyfriend Tyler J. Lee, was hit with the same manufacturing charge, as well as three counts illegal possession of a firearm.

Braaten’s boys were placed under the care of Child Protective Services.

The embarrassed mother later admitted that it was a “cruel, stupid prank.”

A Michigan man, Jayme Earle, 26, was found dead in his pickup truck parked in a no-parking zone, all while receiving two parking tickets.

A few days later, a passer-by called 911 because the truck looked suspicious.

According to Wood TV, authorities found Earle’s body in the truck; he was pronounced dead at the scene.

There were no signs of foul play, and the cause of death is unknown and still being investigated.

(iWIDK By Alex Dorian) – A two digit typo cost a man his home and his life.

Larry Delassus, a 62-year-old Navy veteran from Hermosa Beach, CA, collapsed in a court hearing back in December during a negligence and discrimination case against Wells Fargo.

According to LA Weekly, the lawsuit was incited after Delassus and his lawyer, Anthony Trujillo, discovered that Wells Fargo had doubled up Delassus’ mortgage to pay for $13,361.90 in back taxes.

The problem lied in that it wasn’t Delassus who had failed to pay the taxes on his condo, but his neighbor. Nevertheless, the bank foreclosed on the veteran’s home anyway.

Delassus suffered from a rare blood-clot disorder known as Budd-Chiari syndrome, a condition that becomes exacerbated under stressful conditions.

L.A. County Superior Court Judge ended up siding with Wells Fargo.
