Russell Crowe set up a time-lapse video camera to document fruit bats, and ended up offering potential proof of a UFO.

Two-time Academy Award winner Russell Crowe posted footage of a flying craft with an unusual glowing light radiating off of it casually passing by the balcony outside of his office in Woolloomooloo, Australia last week.

TMZ spoke to UFO expert Marc D’Anconio, who quickly cleared up that it had a typical flight pattern of an airplane and that the “linear light patterns” all had common explanations.

(iWIDK By Alex Dorian) – One man’s superstition escalated to a violent rampage.

Dominick Anderson, a 27-year-old Harlem resident, attacked his 17-year-old sister, Simone, and his 62-year-old grandmother, Beverly Holmes, after he found a makeshift shrine in his sister’s closet containing a picture of him and a foot tall doll.

According to New York Daily News, Anderson had found the shrine two days prior to the incident and ended up using an artificial elephant tusk to beat his grandmother and sister.

Anderson’s mother, Mary, told reporters that he had recently stopped taking medication for a mental illness and alluded to the possibility that he may have bipolar disorder.

Six police officers were injured while attempting to subdue Anderson.

His grandmother died in Harlem Hospital on Wednesday night and his sister is reported to be in stable condition. Charges are still pending for Anderson.

Heather Sewell, a 50-year-old widow from Petham, KY, was astonished when she spotted what looked like the face of her late husband hovering over her granddaughter’s baptism.

According to Daily Mail, Sewell first spotted the apparition when she was perusing through a Facebook page.

Apparently, the apparition greatly resembled her late husband, Terry, who had committed suicide 17 ago. She claimed that the ghost possessed the same facial characteristics, hair-do, and body height as Terry did.

While some are undoubtedly ceaselessly mulling over this picture, others are probably dismissing it as a blotched photo. Believe what you want to.

(iWIDK By Lauren Keough) – A reporter covered a story on a haunted house and claims she received a personal greeting from a ghost.

Vanessa Bolano, who works for the ABC affiliate WGNO in Matairie, was filming a segment inside a haunted house when she was visited by one of the most talked about ghosts on the plantation.

Bolano and her camera man did not notice anything while filming, but after looking over their film they both noticed what appeared to be a ghost floating just behind the reporter.

According to Daily Mail, that strange figure appeared as she was standing in the French Bedroom, which is widely believed to be the most haunted room in the house.

The popular ghost story is centered around a slave named Chloe who supposedly killed a mother and child by poisoning them with a cake made out of oleander leaves.

Chloe was later lynched by her fellow slaves and is said to still haunt the house to this day.

(iWIDK By Allie Beauregard) – When you mix human genes and unidentifiable forensics, you get a hybrid that proves an urban legend.

Though she has yet to reveal where the evidence came from, Texan veterinary researcher Melba S. Ketchum announced Saturday that she has the DNA sample of female humans combined with the “unknown hominin species” that made Bigfoot.

Ketchum’s findings are currently under peer review as other scientific journals analyze the data she provided showing mitochondrial DNA from a human mother and unidentifiable strands from the offspring’s father.

As the fanatic and mystery over Bigfoot ceases to fade, the uncertainty is still ever-present, especially in the science community.

“No data, no discovery,” University of Wisconsin anthropologist John Hawks blogged, according to the LA Times.

The public, however, is a bit more supportive, offering hair samples thought to belong to the giant ape-human, which Ketchum and her team will analyze.

As the case progresses, Kethcum hopes to create a documentary of the process and collect her work in a published book.

In September, Ke$ha said she hooked up with a ghost; now she tells us it was frightening.

Celebuzz reports that the ‘Die Young’ singer has elaborated on her sexual encounter with a “weird energy” and “it did scare [her], but that’s part of the fun of it”.

Ke$ha apparently has a track on her upcoming album titled ‘Supernatural’ which was inspired by her late-night tryst.

Experts have disputed her claim, informing the public that it is often difficult to tell the difference between an actual encounter and a vivid dream.

I’ve had these sort of encounters too, but they normally occur during an intense detox session at a nearby rehab facility–another shot or two vodka and the scary sexcapades typically subside.

(iWIDK by Aaron Lanton) - A local Virginia man claims to have footage of Bigfoot in his backyard. 

In Hubbardton, Virginia, self proclaimed Bigfoot researcher Frank Siecienski claims to have video footage of a legendary Bigfoot ravaging his apple orchard during the night. 

According to News Track India, Siecienski’s wife suggested a deer was eating all the apples which prompted him to install a camera in the backyard.

The footage shows a coyote scared away by a large creature, but it is not clear what the animal is.

Siecienski claimed he was told by researchers that it was a female sasquatch protecting her young.

An official from the Vermon Department of Fish and Wildlife responded the figure in the footage, “‘Is probably an owl.’”

This video originally aired on the “Today Show” 28 years ago and might just be the strangest interview ever.

I can honestly say I’ve never seen a woman so emotionally conflicted over a toaster.

Call me skeptical, but I’m not convinced the toast with “SATAN LIVES” written on it is completely authentic. And this apparently happened after the toaster itself exclaimed “I am the devil.”

Although I guess it would make sense for the devil to inhabit an appliance whose main function is to burn things.

I wonder if God talks to her through the light bulb in the refrigerator.

(iWIDK by Daniel Kiely) – Hundreds of Catholic worshipers have gathered outside a Malaysian hospital after seeing an image of the Virgin Mary in a window.

A Kuala Lumpur hospital has been a mecca recently for Cathloics who are convinced that an image on window is a miraculous appearance of the Virgin Mary.

According to Asia One News, the image was discovered on a seventh floor window and observers also claim they can see an image of Jesus Christ on a window nearby.

Hopefully the window washers will see them too!

In 1959, archaeologist Charles Daniels unearthed a skeleton in Nottinghamshire, Britain that displayed metal spikes pinning the deceased through the shoulders, ankles, and heart.

Matthew Beresford, of Southwell Archaeology informed DNA India that such a punishment was reserved “for thieves, murderers or traitors or later for those deviants who did not conform to society’s rules: adulterers, disruptors of the peace, the unpious or oath breaker.”

Beresford informed reporters that Daniels was unable to remove the body from the grave, and that it is unclear as to where exactly the body was exhumed.

Historians and archaeologists believe they may never know for sure why the person was buried in such a manner.

(iWIDK by Daniel Kiely) - A British man took startling pictures of a possible UFO while ten dead birds were found nearby on the same day.

Calum Sherwood, 23,  was riding a bus to work near Cumbria, England when he noticed a disc-like shape hovering in the sky and started to photograph it.

According to The Sun, Sherwood, who works at a Nuclear power plant (the plot thickens), shared the photos with his friend,  Sharon Larkin who informed him that she had found ten dead birds in her yard the same day Sherwood took the photos.

According to Larkin, who happens to be a UFO investigator,  “There is something about this picture. The line around the edge of the UFO is very clear and very specific.”

In a related story, the latest version of Photoshop continues to sell strongly throughout the United Kingdom.

(iWIDK By Idelie Perez) - No explanation has been given in regards to a pair of red orb-shaped images seen in Google Maps while observing locations in Jacksonville, Texas, and the Sky City Casino Hotel on 32 Indian Service Route 30, Acoma Pueblo in New Mexico.

The unidentified shapes are seen both in street view, at the two separate locations of Texas and New Mexico, hovering over the sky.

According to Zee News, ABC affiliate, Andrea Dover from KLTV, pointed out the mysterious orb-like object who noticed the image when researching directions.

The images have yet to be identified and remain a mystery that leaves many questions unanswered.
