Kyle Voissem, a former college gymnast, has been found guilty of animal cruelty after pouring scalding water on his dog for urinating in his apartment.

Former University of Illinois at Chicago student Kyle Voissem has been ordered to undergo a psychiatric evaluation following his abuse of his pet dog.

Voissem was boiling water to cook macaroni and cheese when he discovered that his dog had urinated in his apartment.

He then proceeded to pour the boiling water over the dog’s head and torso, causing severe second- and third-degree burns.

Voissem, who is originally from Wisconsin but was attending UIC on a gymnastic scholarship, is no longer listed on the gymnastic team’s roster.

NBC Chicago is reporting that he will be due back in court on May 20th.

Iran displayed ‘The Sharia Saw,’ a sharp bladed device for chopping off the fingers of criminals in full public display.

It’s like the late 1700’s in France, but not as gross as chopping a head off.

According to ABC News, the ISNA even published the photographs of one man receiving the punishment to warn others that this could happen to them, or worse.

The man receiving the punishment allegedly showed little reaction; he was blindfolded and possibly drugged.

Swiss police officers in Zurich recently arrested an unlicensed acupuncturist who was indicted in the summer of last year for intentionally spreading human disease and causing serious bodily harm.

According to The Epoch Times, the unidentified defendant stopped showing up for scheduled court appearances, which prompted the police to storm his house earlier this week.

The investigation began last year when several of the defendant’s music students traced the source of their infections back to the man’s use of contaminated needles in his unlicensed practice.

A medical expert who testified on behalf of the prosecution stated that it is most likely that the man deliberately used a syringe to transmit the virus.

A woman required medical attention after a dispute over taco meat led to a domestic disturbance.

Indianapolis police were called after an argument over taco meat escalated to physical violence.

Michael Love, 28, apparently did not leave much taco meat for 20-year old Niana Williams and an argument ensued.

At one point Love allegedly pushed tacos in to Williams’ face, causing irritation due to a spicy condiment.

According to The Huffington Post, medics treated Williams for her taco-induced discomfort.

This incident is one of several recent physical altercations caused by Mexican food, one of which involved a burrito.

A Montana man has been granted probation after pleading guilty to water boarding four minors in an attempt to teach them a lesson.

A 42-year old father from Montana plead guilty to four misdemeanor counts of child endangerment and was granted roughly two years of probation.

The man, who must remain unidentified in order to retain his sons’ anonymity, water boarded his 9- and 12-year old sons and two neighborhood children aged 13 and 15.

Authorities were alerted of the incident after the teens informed a Child Protect Services worker.

According to The Huffington Post, his girlfriend at the time told officers that he described the waterboarding as a learning experience for the boys.

(iWIDK By Dominick Cattarina) – An anti-gun lobbyist was recently seen buying an assault rifle.

Gun control advocate Mark Kelly, husband of Congresswoman Gabrielle Gifford who survived a gun shot to the head two years ago, was caught buying an AR-15 last week at a a Tuscon gun store.

The Daily Mail has reported that Kelly was seen buying the gun before he and his wife were to make an appearance at the supermarket where she was shot. The stunt has come under scrutiny by people who are anti-gun legislation who have called Mr. Kelly a hypocrite. Kelly said he purchased the rifle as a way to bring attention to the ease in which a person can buy such a dangerous gun. He also bought a .45-caliber pistol. Mr. Kelly said he plans on turning in the AR-15 to the Tuscon police.

Mark Kelly and Gabrielle Gifford, gun owners themselves, have emerged to become strong voices in the gun regulation movement. Gifford was shot in the head in January 2011 while meeting with constituents at a Tuscon supermarket. 13 people were shot, with nine dying from gun shot wounds. Gifford’s injuries were severe, with the bullet taking out a chunk of her skull, but her recovery has been amazing even to her doctors. Since the horrific shooting in Sandy Hook, Kelly and Gifford have become major advocates to gun control.

Todd Rathner, a lobbyist for the National Rifle Association’s affiliate in Arizona and a national NRA board member believes Kelly’s action were over the top. If you believe him, it’s a cheap publicity stunt,’ Rathner said. ‘If you don’t, then he was speculating on the value of the rifle because he knew the prices would be inflated.’

Shayne Carpenter, a 27-year-old mechanic from Grass Valley, CA, was arrested for poisoning and domestic abuse after he spiked his girlfriend’s drink with Visine.

According to The Inquisitr, the ill-mannered “prank” occurred after a heated argument between Carpenter and his girlfriend, who later became suspicious after she found text messages on her boyfriend’s phone that alluded to the poisoning.

Police set a tap on her phone and recorded a conversation in which Carpenter confessed to his girlfriend that he had poisoned her drink.

Carpenter’s girlfriend is currently being treated at a local area hospital, where she is expected to make a full recovery.

Carpenter was released from jail after posting a $25,000 bail.

(iWIDK by Aaron Lanton) - A bicyclist’s alleged recklessness caused an avoidable death. 

In San Francisco, California, 36-year-old bicyclist Chris Bucchere is being tried in court for felony gross vehicular manslaughter following a collision with 71-year-old Sutchi Hui that caused his death. 

According to The San Francisco Examiner, Hui was walking through a busy intersection with his wife when Bucchere crashed into him after ignoring two red lights and a stop sign while traveling at an estimated speed of 30 MPH.

Hui was immediately rushed to San Francisco General hospital where did died four days later from head trauma.

In a social media post, Bucchere jokingly wrote, “In closing, I want to dedicate this story to my late helmet. She died in heroic fashion today as my head slammed into the tarmac… may she die knowing that because she committed the ultimate sacrifice, her rider can live on and ride on.”

The trial is currently ongoing.

(iWIDK By Lauren Keough) - A man was arrested after wielding an ax.

Wilfred Levine, 63, aces a variety of charges after he took an ax to the  Dunkin Donuts on East Main Street.

According to CBS Connecticut, police say store employees told Wilfred Levine he was loitering and would have to leave and he then proceeded to smash the interior of the store with the ax,  then went outside and smashed the exterior plate glass windows.

He allegedly chopped up everything he could find inside, and then proceeded to smash the front windows.

Levine faces charges of criminal attempt to commit assault, criminal attempt to commit assault on police, criminal mischief, criminal trespass, possession of a dangerous weapon, breach of peace, reckless endangerment, and interfering with police.

He is being held on $750,000 bond.

(iWIDK By Alex Dorian) – A woman attempted to involve her children in an evil deed.

Leticia Silva, 31, from Lakeland, FL, was charged with four counts of solicitation to commit murder after she mailed a pocket knife to her daughters and ordered them to kill their paternal grandparents.

According to Opposing Views, Silva later instructed the girls, ages 9 and 7, to hide a kitchen knife and use it to kill their grandparents in the middle of the night.

After one of the girls divulged the disturbing plot to her grandparents, Pitt County authorities interviewed Silva, who subsequently turned herself in.

Silva’s family claimed the grandparents fabricated the story in hopes of gaining advantage over Silva in a custody battle. Silva’s bail is set at $5 million.

A Connecticut-based health aide was recently arrested for leaving feces in her former employer’s refrigerator and oven after being laid off.

The criminal, Fiona Clarke, was asked if she wanted to work more hours for the elderly woman she cared for at the time. Clarke declined, so they hired someone else to cover those extra hours needed.

According to Opposing Views, Clarke was rude to the new employee, so she was fired, and Clarke decided to take action.

Clarke was charged with third-degree criminal mischief and second-degree breach of peace and will appear in court this Thursday.

(iWIDK By Remus Lee) - Some people critique fashion sense more violently than others.

Hillsboro, Oregon, police arrested 22-year-old George Mason, Jr. after witnesses saw him beating a same-sex couple with a metal wrench before driving away.

According to KPTV, Mason attacked the couple while shouting homophobic slurs after seeing the couple’s dog, a bright pink poodle named Beauty.

Due to the information given by multiple witnesses, police were able to quickly identify and bring Mason into custody.

None of the victims of the assault were severely injured.

Sandra Inman’s confession has been unsealed, revealing that she helped her son and husband murder and dispose of the body of 25-year-old Summer Inman in 2011.

According to the Daily Mail, 47-year-old Sandra wanted to see more of her three grandkids, so she decided to have a “talk” with their mother, Summer.

That “talk” resulted in Sandra, her husband William Sr., and their son, and Summer’s husband, William Jr., forcing Summer into a car, using zip-ties to bind her hands and legs, and eventually strangling her with one of the zip-ties.

The trio then disposed of her body in a septic tank at the church where the family attended.

Sandra claims that William Jr. did not strangle his wife intentionally, but a jury and judge did not agree.

Both William Jr. and Sr. received full sentences, life in prison without parole. Sandra received 15 years to life in prison.
