Iran displayed ‘The Sharia Saw,’ a sharp bladed device for chopping off the fingers of criminals in full public display.

It’s like the late 1700’s in France, but not as gross as chopping a head off.

According to ABC News, the ISNA even published the photographs of one man receiving the punishment to warn others that this could happen to them, or worse.

The man receiving the punishment allegedly showed little reaction; he was blindfolded and possibly drugged.

(iWIDK By Allie Beauregard) – Those who witnessed the incident - and video – question authorities’ actions towards two animals. 

Friday afternoon outside Chester High School in PA a brawl between two dogs resulted in an open fire by police officers called onto the scene.

The incident ignited when one dog jumped in the back of a truck where another dog was kept – and the fight was on.

The two officers called to the scene reacted to the aggression using a pistol and a shotgun, shocking all those around and especially the onlooker who caught it all on their camera phone.

Aside from being horrified that the officers would resort to shooting the animals on school property, Chester residents were equally as concerned about how unsafe the situation was for civilians.

Resident Tehran Freeman told reporters, later quoted by The Inquisitr, “it wasn’t secure at all, I know bullets can ricochet and anything else — you’re trying to shoot two animals in the back of a metal vehicle, that bullet can go anywhere.”

However, a close viewing of the video shows the officers were just as upset about their decision, as was clear in their reactions.

At the time of the incident it was unclear who either dog belonged to, and no one claimed them soon after the shooting either.

(iWIDK By Remus Lee) - Two teens are found guilty of assaulting a 78-year-old man.

The two 19-year-old assailants were convicted of a March 12 assault on the man after he tried to alert them that they did not turn on their car lights.

The teens had stopped the car and beat the man as he was waiting for the bus, before driving off.

The teens claimed that they had not left their house that evening, but police were quickly able to find the car with the engine still warm, according to the Telegraph.

The victim of the attack was left with disfiguring injuries and cried when the guilty verdict was announced.

One teen remains in custody while the other was released on bail.

(iWIDK by Aaron Lanton) - A troubling practice has started to become more widespread in Africa. 

In West and Central Africa, scholars are reporting widespread accounts of “penis snatching” in the region.

According to Daily Mail, academics had observed reports of penis snatching on the continent, and considered it to be an urban phenomenon that occurred when villages became cities where rural people found themselves among crowds of unfamiliar people.

Recently, reports of penis snatching are becoming more common in small villages.

Two men claimed to have been victims of this practice after they were targeted while trying to purchase tea from a tea seller.

Louisa Lombard, a postdoctoral fellow of geography at the University of California, Berkeley, has stated that the practice can be linked to a “general resurgence of witchcraft” in Africa.

(iWIDK By Omar Guzman) – Tacos sparked a physical confrontation.

A woman required medical attention after a dispute over taco meat led to a domestic disturbance.

Indianapolis police were called after an argument over taco meat escalated to physical violence.

Michael Love, 28, apparently did not leave much taco meat for 20-year old Niana Williams and an argument ensued.

At one point Love allegedly pushed tacos in to Williams’ face, causing irritation due to a spicy condiment.

According to The Huffington Post, medics treated Williams for her taco-induced discomfort.

This incident is one of several recent physical altercations caused by Mexican food, one of which involved a burrito.

(iWIDK By Lauren Keough) - A child kidnapper was rescued by local police during a mob attack. 

A man who is suspected of being involved in the disappearance of several children in Chiconautla, was held for three hours after being set upon by an angry crowd of up to 1,000 people yesterday.

 According to Daily Mail, the alleged offender was detained by the crowd – some of whom can be seen wielding sticks in the photograph, outside a school in Chiconautla.

Federal police who swooped on the scene in Ecatepec de Morelos in Mexico yesterday evening had to use tear gas to disperse the crowd and rescue the man, according to local reports.

He is reported to have been tied up with a rope and beaten in an attemped lynching before police intervened last night.

(iWIDK By Alex Dorian) – From her side of the story, the woman claimed she wasn’t the instigator.

A video posted on Facebook shows Amie Loughrey, 40, from Oswego, NY coaxing her 15-year-old daughter to fight 12-15 other girls after they continually harassed her.

According to Syracuse.com, Loughrey claimed that the troop of fifteen girls had come onto her property three times with the intent to harm her daughter and said that she had finally had enough.

“Ur dam right i stood by and made sure 12 girls diid [sic] not jump my daughter while THEY took video witch ended up prooving [sic] my innocents,” Loughrey posted on Facebook.

Loughrey maintained that she was merely protecting the welfare of her child.

She is charged with endangering the welfare of a child and second-degree harassment.

(iWIDK By Omar Guzman) – What can you learn from waterboarding?

A Montana man has been granted probation after pleading guilty to water boarding four minors in an attempt to teach them a lesson.

A 42-year old father from Montana plead guilty to four misdemeanor counts of child endangerment and was granted roughly two years of probation.

The man, who must remain unidentified in order to retain his sons’ anonymity, water boarded his 9- and 12-year old sons and two neighborhood children aged 13 and 15.

Authorities were alerted of the incident after the teens informed a Child Protect Services worker.

According to The Huffington Post, his girlfriend at the time told officers that he described the waterboarding as a learning experience for the boys.

(iWIDK By Omar Guzman) – You wouldn’t like Bubba when he’s angry.

A 24-year old, known as Bubba, recently went berserk after his sexual encounter was interrupted.

Robert “Bubba” Emerson Martin, 24, was casually having sex with his girlfriend on a cruise when he was confronted by her father.

The couple had been making so much noise that another passenger complained and asked the father of Martin’s girlfriend to investigate the commotion.

Martin, who was mid-coitus when approached by the older gentleman, became so enraged that he attempted to strike him.

The boat’s captain eventually subdued Martin with zip ties, but later undid them as the conflict seemed to dissipate.

His hand was bitten by Martin immediately.

According to Naples News, Martin faces the misdemeanor charges of battery and disorderly conduct.

(iWIDK By Dominick Cattarina) – An anti-gun lobbyist was recently seen buying an assault rifle.

Gun control advocate Mark Kelly, husband of Congresswoman Gabrielle Gifford who survived a gun shot to the head two years ago, was caught buying an AR-15 last week at a a Tuscon gun store.

The Daily Mail has reported that Kelly was seen buying the gun before he and his wife were to make an appearance at the supermarket where she was shot. The stunt has come under scrutiny by people who are anti-gun legislation who have called Mr. Kelly a hypocrite. Kelly said he purchased the rifle as a way to bring attention to the ease in which a person can buy such a dangerous gun. He also bought a .45-caliber pistol. Mr. Kelly said he plans on turning in the AR-15 to the Tuscon police.

Mark Kelly and Gabrielle Gifford, gun owners themselves, have emerged to become strong voices in the gun regulation movement. Gifford was shot in the head in January 2011 while meeting with constituents at a Tuscon supermarket. 13 people were shot, with nine dying from gun shot wounds. Gifford’s injuries were severe, with the bullet taking out a chunk of her skull, but her recovery has been amazing even to her doctors. Since the horrific shooting in Sandy Hook, Kelly and Gifford have become major advocates to gun control.

Todd Rathner, a lobbyist for the National Rifle Association’s affiliate in Arizona and a national NRA board member believes Kelly’s action were over the top. If you believe him, it’s a cheap publicity stunt,’ Rathner said. ‘If you don’t, then he was speculating on the value of the rifle because he knew the prices would be inflated.’

(iWIDK By Alex Dorian) – 7 men and 5 women will determine the fate of a woman accused of a particularly heinous crime.

Lindsey Lowe, a 26-year-old woman from Hendersonville, TN, was brought to trial in Gallatin this morning to answer to two counts of felony murder, two counts of premeditated murder and two counts of aggravated child abuse after she smothered her newborn twins to death.

According to News Channel 5, the incident occurred September of 2011 after Lowe gave birth in the bathroom of her parents’ home and attempted to muffle the cries of her newborn twins so that her parents wouldn’t hear the commotion.

Apparently, the pregnancy was the result of an affair with a man from Kentucky, which prompted Lowe to hide the pregnancy from her parents and her then fiancé.

Prosecutors claim they will not seek the death penalty.

(iWIDK By Alex Dorian) – A botched robbery led to a four hour standoff.

An unidentified man recently attempted to rob a kitchenware store in Zengzhou, a city in the Henan Province of China, but turned it into a hostage situation.

According to Daily Mail, the crazed robber took two kitchen knives from one of the store’s shelves and put them both up to the shop assistant’s throat, threatening to take her life.

After police failed to reason with the man, authorities brought in the robber’s family, who managed to talk him into releasing the shop assistant.

The man was subsequently arrested. The shop assistant was unharmed.

Shayne Carpenter, a 27-year-old mechanic from Grass Valley, CA, was arrested for poisoning and domestic abuse after he spiked his girlfriend’s drink with Visine.

According to The Inquisitr, the ill-mannered “prank” occurred after a heated argument between Carpenter and his girlfriend, who later became suspicious after she found text messages on her boyfriend’s phone that alluded to the poisoning.

Police set a tap on her phone and recorded a conversation in which Carpenter confessed to his girlfriend that he had poisoned her drink.

Carpenter’s girlfriend is currently being treated at a local area hospital, where she is expected to make a full recovery.

Carpenter was released from jail after posting a $25,000 bail.
