(WIDK By Omar Guzman) – A little girl was torn to shreds.

An unidentified toddler was mauled to death by 7 pit bulls in Georgia.

By the time paramedics arrived the pack of pit bulls had already killed the 2-year old girl.

A grandmother in a Bryan County, Georgia home says she awoke to the sound of her 7 pit bulls attacking her young granddaughter.

Authorities are not certain how the toddler was able to leave the house unsupervised, though they believe she may have escaped through the doggy door or been assisted by her 12-year old brother.

According to the International Business Times, the 7 dogs responsible for the attack have been put down.

(iWIDK By Remus Lee) - An Oklahoma woman may get the maximum sentence for her role in the death of her husband.

21-year-old Amber Hilberling was found guilty of second-degree murder in pushing her Air Force veteran husband, Joshua, out a 25th floor apartment window during an argument.

According to CBS News, the jury could not find enough evidence that Hilberling pushed her husband out the window in self-defense and has therefore returned a guilty verdict.

The jury has recommended the maximum sentence of twenty-five years in prison.

(iWIDK By Remus Lee) - A slasher film came to life when a horror movie fanatic committed a grisly murder.

41-year-old Gary George of Chester, England, is in court on charges of murdering 53-year-old Andrew Nall August 31, 2012 by stabbing him forty-nine times.

According to the Mirror, George, a fan of the Australian horror film “The Loved Ones”, carved strange marks into Nall and rubbed salt into the wounds, mirroring a similar incident in the film.

Chester Court prosecutors also charged 50-year-old Christine Holleran in the indictment as a member of the conspiracy to kill Nall.

Holleran described George as a gangster and growling like the devil when murdering Nall; prosecutors allege that Holleran and George were more intimate than she stated after CCTV caught video of the two hugging after the murder.

Neither George or Holleran admit to murdering Nall, although George has claimed manslaughter charges.

(iWIDK By Alex Dorian) – An elderly man shot who he thought was a home invader.

69-year-old Phillip Sailors, of Lilburn, GA, was arrested last Saturday night and subsequently charged with murder after fatally shooting Rodrigo Diaz after he pulled into Sailors’ driveway.

According to WSB Radio, Diaz and two of his friends were attempting to get to their friend’s house in the same neighborhood, but were directed to Sailors’ house by the GPS.

Sailors’ attorney, Michael Puglise, stated that his client was very distraught over taking the 22-year-old’s life and that he had believed he was preventing a home invasion.

Sailors is being held without bond.

Alleged criminal, Jimmy Lee Dykes, a 65-year-old military veteran, shot a bus driver in Alabama this past Tuesday, and is now holding a 6-year-old autistic boy hostage in an underground bunker. 

According to PolicyMic.com, the bus driver tried to stop who appeared to be Dykes leaving the bus with the boy, and was shot multiple times resulting in his death.

A neighbor claims that Dykes is “not right in the head,” an apparently digs holes in his backyard at two in the morning on occasion.

“He is the type to think the government’s out to get him,” said neighbor Michael Creel.

The police have yet to confirm names, but the investigation continues.

(iWIDK by Aaron Lanton) - A troubled mother made a tragic decision.

In Dallas, Texas, 43-year-old cancer survivor Angelica Vazquez fatally shot her husband and two adult children, ages 18 and 21, before committing suicide. 

According to The Global Dispatch, police were called to the home of the Vazquez family after neighbors claimed to hear gunshots, but there were no signs of forced entry, which led everyone to assume nothing awry had occurred.

Four days later, one of the same officers returned to the address to find a full mailbox and uncollected newspapers on the front lawn.

After weighing their options, the local police department decided to force their way into the home where they found the four dead bodies.

No motive has been determined.

(iWIDK By Rebecca Arden) – After committing horrible crimes, the man responsible is in police custody. 

In New York, David Renz, 29-years-old, was arrested after abducting and stabbing 47-year-old Lori Bresnahan to death and raping her 10-year-old daughter.

Renz had a house-arrest ankle bracelet on since January, when he was arrested on child pornography charges, among other things.

Syracuse.com reports that Renz, who studied computers while in college, deactivated the ankle bracelet and left his mothers house, where he was staying.

He then found Bresnahan and her daughter, who he tied up and took to a secluded area.

He raped the 10-year-old girl, but she managed to escape while Renz was stabbing her mother.

The girl was picked up by a local motorist, and Renz was later arrested.

Bresnahan died from her stab wounds at the hospital.

The ankle bracelet is supposed to notify authorities as soon as it is deactivated, but in this situation, neither the alarm company nor the police were notified until after Renz had been arrested for these crimes.

(iWIDK By Alex Dorian) – Three defendants took the stand Tuesday to answer for a particularly gruesome murder.

Dorothy Maraglino, 37, Louis Perez, 46, and Jessica Lopez, 25, of Vista, CA, were charged with the kidnapping, rape, torture, and murder of Brittany Killgore, the 22-year-old wife of a Marine.

According to U-T San Diego, a witness to the case and one of Killgore’s closest friends, claimed that Killgore socialized with the three defendants, but didn’t partake in their S&M lifestyle.

After Killgore was murdered in a house owned by Maraglino, Perez, attempted to dismember the body.

The three defendants each face 25 years to life in prison.

(iWIDK By Remus Lee) - A Florida man was shot and killed after getting caught in flagrante delicto with another man’s wife.

70-year-old former army veteran Ralph Lewis Wald shot his wife’s ex-boyfriend as the latter two were engaged in sexual relations on his couch.

According to the Miami New Times, the ex-boyfriend, 32-year-old Walter Conley, had previously fallen into trouble with Wald’s wife, 42-year-old Johnna Flores, who was earlier jailed after shooting at Conley during a domestic dispute.

Conley died on the scene, while Flores, who was with Conley at the time, was uninjured.

Wald is currently held without bail on charges of second-degree murder.

(iWIDK By Lauren Keough) - A gunman was killed during a shootout. 

Kurt Myers, 64, went on a rampage at a car wash and a barbershop that left four people dead in upstate New York on Thursday.

According to Daily Mail, Myers’ killing rampage had started early Wednesday after he allegedly ignited a fire in his apartment in the nearby village of Mohawk, which is about 80 miles northeast of Albany.

Hours later, a flurry of gunfire was heard near where police narrowed their search.

The shootings shattered the peace and rattled the nerves of Mohawk and Herkimer, two small villages about 170 miles northwest of New York City, separated from each other by the Mohawk River and the New York State Thruway.

James Baron, the mayor of Mohawk described his village as close-knit and friendly, “the kind of place where you’d say, ‘Oh, it would never happen here.’”

(iWIDK By Remus Lee) - A Cincinnati man may have the charges against him upgraded after the baby he threw against the wall died.

20-year-old Frederick Mitchell was accused of knowingly causing serious physical harm to a 6-month-old baby in his care.

According to Fox 19 News, Mitchell was initially held on charges of felonious assault and possession of drug paraphernalia, which may change with the death of the child.

The mother of the child, Caitlyn Pemberton, was at work at the time of the incident.

Frederick Mitchell has been in jail since Friday on US$1 million bond.

(iWIDK By Remus Lee) - The latest victim of the Windy City’s gun violence epidemic is a 6-month-old baby.

6-month-old Jonylah Watkins was shot along with her father Jonathan Watkins in the family minivan on Monday; she died Tuesday morning while her father remains in critical condition. 

According to NBC News Chicago, the shooting may have relations to criminal activity as Jonathan Watkins has known gang affiliations.

Jonylah’s mother, Judy Young, had previously been involved in a shooting while still pregnant with Jonylah.

A $5,000 reward has been issued by the Watkins’ church pastor for information leading to the arrest of the murderer.

(iWIDK By Remus Lee) - The husband told investigators that he found his wife dead, but the autopsy and cell phone evidence told a different story.

36-year-old Roger Earl Holland, a former member of the Texas National Guard, was charged with the murder of his wife Marjorie and unborn child, after police uncovered text messages indicating that the wife planned to divorce him.

Holland claimed that the couple had a happy relationship, but CBS Minnesota reports that hundreds of deleted text messages form a picture of dissatisfaction and money troubles affecting the couple’s relationship.

An autopsy revealed that Marjorie Holland suffered injuries consistent with strangulation and multiple injuries to her body.

Holland is being in the county jail on $1 million bail.
