Ah, Facebook, one of the top ways to get people in trouble these days. The social media site helped the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s office charge a father, with money, for not paying support.

“Bad dad” Christopher Robinson, 23, is facing three felony counts of failure to support his 3-year-old; records show that he never made any child support payments.

The very ‘swag’ picture of Robinson on Facebook, posing with tons of cash and liquor bottles, helped the district attorney’s office build a solid case against him.

If found guilty on all three counts, Robinson could face up to 11 years in jail, reports ABC News.

(iWIDK by Aaron Lanton) - A young girl has been living in poor conditions with a homeless couple. 

In Sacramento, California, 39-year-old John Oliver and 40-year-old Angelica Madrigal have been charged with child endangerment after police caught the couple squatting in a foreclosed home with a 3-year-old girl in their care.

According to KCRA 3, neighbors alerted police to potential squatting when they noticed the notices for foreclosure had been removed from the home.

After an investigation, police determined that Oliver and Madrigal were living in the home illegally, but were unaware of the 3-year-old girl until later.

The house was boarded up, and the child placed into the custody of Child Protective Services until she finds a good home.

(iWIDK By Lauren Keough) - A toddler was rushed to the hospital after being exposed to drugs and alcohol. 

Samantha Delvalle was arrested with her boyfriend, Raymond Earl Mabery and charged with child endangerment, possession of drug paraphernalia and being intoxicated from drugs.

The toddler believed to be drunk and high on meth was rushed to the hospital after his grandmother came to pick him up from his California home.

The Philo two-year-old was said to have “reeked of alcohol,” “looked ill” and to have been surrounded by drug paraphernalia when she arrived.

According to Daily Mail, Delvalle and Maybery were suspected of being drunk and high on drugs when deputies arrived at the Philo home where the child lived.

Maybery and Delvalle were held at the Mendocino County Jail after they were unable to pay $25,000 bail.

An 11-year old boy and his mother were both arrested for their involvement in the rape of the family’s 6-year old girl.

An 11-year old boy from Oklahoma City, OK was recently arrested after authorities discovered he sexually assaulted his 6-year old sister.

The boy’s mother was also arrested for failing to report the incident after the victim told police that her mother was aware of the rape, but instructed her daughter not to tell anyone.

The young victim is currently in protective custody.

According to Opposing Views, the unidentified 11-year old was placed in a juvenile facility while his mother was taken to the Oklahoma County jail.

Three adults were arrested in Tennessee after police found five children living in horrible home conditions, with piles of filth and the stench of urine.

According to News Channel 5, police arrived to perform a welfare check on the home, when they discovered the home’s condition.

The children were found in various rooms unsupervised and surrounded by trash. One of the children, a 15-year-old, who was wheelchair-bound, had no pathway around to move.

The three adults: Tricia Guerra, 31, William and Donna Suttles, ages 38 and 56, were arrested and charged with child abuse/neglect.

(iWIDK By Rebecca Arden) – These parents had to take responsibility for what they did to their son. 

David and Pamela Martin were arrested on two felony charges after police found their 17-year-old son handcuffed to a pole in their basement. 

KCTV5 reports that a judge ruled for the 17-year-old to remain in foster care, because he has made an amazing recovery since being placed with his foster family.

Police found the boy a month ago, starving, and handcuffed to a pole in his father’s basement. He weighed near 105 pounds.

He had been locked in the basement since September. His biological mother, Sandy Wilson, claimed to know nothing of the abuse.

His father, David and his stepmother Pamela have been charged with felony restraint and abuse of a child.

He know weighs in at much healthier 150, thanks to eating blueberry pancakes with his foster family. He hopes to gain 5 to 10 more pounds to help him play football for his new high school.

Wilson hopes her son will one day live with her, but the judge ruled that he will stay in foster care until he turns 18.

Florida mother, Cheryn Scaggs, was arrested early on Monday for leaving her two children, aged 1 and 4, alone in a freezing vehicle while she got drunk in a bar with some friends.

The children were left to shiver for two hours before police arrived at 2 a.m. noticing a crowd gathering outside the bar.

Scaggs apparently asked others to help her get home because she was too intoxicated to drive, that’s when police discovered two young children inside a vacant car.

The children were checked by police and confirmed to be okay.

Scagg’s brother, Jamie Cox, was called to the scene to pick up the two children, CBS News reports that he said, “I was available. If she really had to go out that bad she could have came to me.”

(iWIDK By Omar Guzman) – A woman’s children are blamed for her boyfriend’s neglect.

A Sanford, FL woman was arrested for telling her children that they would have to sleep in the woods and abandoning them at a 7-Eleven.

Tiffany Buffkin, 32, was driving home from an amusement park with her boyfriend and two sons when the couple got into an argument.

Buffkin’s boyfriend proceeded to pull over at a nearby 7-Eleven and told his girlfriend and her children to get out of the car.

The woman blamed her 13-year old son for the argument and left him alone at the store.

Authorities also discovered Buffkin’s 6-year old son sleeping behind the 7-Eleven.

According to UPI, she was charged with “child neglect, disorderly intoxication, and resisting arrest for allegedly kicking the window bars inside a patrol car.”

The children were removed from Buffkin’s custody.

24-year-old Santos Barilla, from Canoga Park, CA, was charged with willful harm to child after he left his 2-year-old daughter unattended in his pickup truck while attending a bikini bar.

According to CBS Los Angeles, a parking attendant at Club 7557 in Van Nuys saw the toddler shivering in the backseat and proceeded to withhold Barilla’s keys so he couldn’t drive home drunk.

Police found the girl “scared and very cold” and turned her over to her mother’s custody.

Barilla’s neighbors claimed that they didn’t expect such blatant negligence from the quiet building manager.

Jacqueline Saxon, a childcare bus driver, stopped the bus after a parent flagged her down saying that she saw a baby wrapped in a blanket on the ground in the childcare center’s faculty parking lot. 

Saxon called her director immediately, and upon arrival director Nicole Carter went over to the baby and determined that he was in acceptable heath.

According to WSVN, the baby boy still had the umbilical chord attached and paramedics were immediately called to the scene.

Last reported, the baby is in great condition as deputies are still searching for the mother.

An infant was discovered in good condition after being abandoned outside a Houston, Texas apartment complex.

A woman was walking her dogs when one of them seemed to take an interest in a discarded Walmart bag.

She tied her animals to a nearby fence and went to investigate the bag, thinking that someone might have discarded a dead animal.

Instead, she found a newborn baby with about three inches of its umbilical cord still attached.

The infant was taken Texas Children’s Hospital and deemed to be in good condition.

According to the Houston Chronicle, the infant’s warm temperature suggested that it was found shortly after being abandoned.

The parents of a Gary, Indiana child were sentenced to prison after their neglect and abuse led to his death.

Kimberly Kubina, 47, recently plead guilty to felony neglect charges involving the death of her stepson, 13-year old Christian Choate.

According to The Huffington Post, Choate was confined in a three-foot-high dog cage for at least the last year of life, only being let out to eat and use the bathroom.

An autopsy revealed that Choate sustained blunt force trauma to his body, internal bleeding, and a skull fracture some time before death.

His body was recovered after an older sibling informed authorities of the situation.

Choate’s father, 40-year old Riley Choate, pleaded guilty and agreed to testify against his wife last month in exchange for a shorter prison sentence.

He will spend the next eighty years behind bars.

A tragic fire took the lives of three young children who were left unsupervised in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

The fire is thought to have started around 2 PM on a Monday morning.

The children, a 1-year old and two 3-year olds, were reportedly left unsupervised when the fire began.

Brian Uridge, assistant chief of public safety, told CNN reporters that ”initially, we have information that the kids were left alone in the apartment, but we can’t talk about charges because it’s too early in the investigation.”
