(iWIDK By Lauren Keough) - A mother stabbed and killed her daughter.
Victoria Vovchik, 45, killed her daughter, a student at Woodglen Elementary School, inside their home on Quarry Drive in north New City.
According to ABC New York, both the mother and the daughter, identified by a relative as Ava, were found in the master bedroom, which authorities said was covered in blood.
Residents near the home on Quarry Drive said Vovchik, a podiatrist with offices in New Jersey, seemed to be a loving mother.
Investigation is ongoing.
