Suzanne Nassie left her local Walmart recently, she thought she was walking out with a new iPad, but it turned out that she was leaving with a piece of plastic painted to look like a real tablet.
According to CBS Boston, Nassie said there was no cord and the device wouldn’t turn on so she brought it back to the store, but she was never allowed to speak with a manager and was refused a refund even though she had a $499 sales slip dated 20 minutes earlier.
“There’s a speaker that’s suppose to be on the back, it’s just little painted dots. When I peered inside at the port on the back where you’re suppose to charge it, it’s just plastic. No metal prongs or anything of that nature,” Nassie said.
Wal-Mart has apologized, said they are investigating the incident, and issued Nassie a refund.
