(iWIDK By Alex Dorian) – A three-year-old case ended with a guilty plea.
Carl Muggli, 51, a totem pole business owner from Minnesota, pleaded guilty to second-degree unintentional murder in the death of his late wife, Linda Muggli.
According to Huffington Post, upon his wife’s death in 2010, Muggli made it out to police to sound like a freak accident in which a totem pole his wife and him had been working on slipped out of it’s cradle and fell on top of her.
Even though Muggli was more-or-less telling the truth, he didn’t tell the whole truth; him and his wife had been going through a divorce at the time, and police couldn’t recreate the incident exactly as Muggli described it.
Muggli then confessed that him and his wife had been arguing at the time, and that after the incident occurred, he did nothing to help her.
Muggli’s court date has been set for Feb. 4th, and faces up to 15 years in prison.
