Horrible – Zoo Visitors Caught Throwing SNOWBALLS At LIONS

(iWIDK By Alex Dorian) – It’s amazing how anybody would think this is a good idea.

Hangzhou Zoo in China received criticism after several of its members began throwing snowballs at a lion and lioness couple; an instance of animal cruelty that hasn’t been the first.

According to Huffington Post, breeder Zhu Yan told reporters that there weren’t any zookeepers around during the incident, or else they would have done something about it.

“The behavior upset us,” Zhu told the press, “our animals should be treated fairly. We hope our visitors will use some self-discipline and be nicer to them.”

Many are saying that the problem lies in that many of China’s animal rights laws largely apply to zoo personnel, not visitors.
