(iWIDK By Brittany Hahn) – A seemingly fun adventure turned into a nightmare.

New Jersey teens, Nick Cianciotto and Clyde Schimanski III journeyed out on the frozen Budd Lake Monday evening and plunged to their death when the thin ice cracked.
According to residents who lived near the lake, the boys were yelling for help screaming, “I don’t want to die!” when they attempted to rescue the boys themselves, and failed.
When police officials arrived, it was too late.
According to the New York Post, residents see people out on the lake all of the time, but never had this sort of tragedy happen.
Cianciotto’s body was found the next day, but Schimanski’s remains lost in the watery grave.
Schimanski’s mother’s last words to her son included, “don’t go out on the lake… it’s not safe.”
