(iWIDK By Lauren Keough) - A young girl faced surgery after a bizarre accident.

Mary Kate Person, of Philadelphia, had to have emergency surgery to remove her swollen tongue from a metal water bottle.
According to Daily Mail, after going for the final drops of water in her bottle, her tongue became stuck and she was rushed to the hospital where doctors feared she could suffocate if her swollen tongue blocked the airway or her tongue would effectively ‘die’ as she would lose use of the organ and with it, the power of speech.
After three hours of surgery, Mary Kate’s tongue was free but she spent the next three days in the Intensive Care Unit under watch.
Her parents are considering legal action against two companies who make these metal bottles, though they have not publicly named the offenders.
