Youth Football Coach Had Unprotected Sex With Pupil’s MOTHER – Knowingly Gave Her HIV

Jimmy Bernard Billingsley, 42, of Fort Worth, was sentenced to 15 years in prison on Friday by State District Judge Robb Catalano after he was found guilty of aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury when he knowingly gave multiple sexual partners HIV, one of whom was the mother of a player on the youth football team he coached. 

The young athlete’s mother, who began her relationship with Billingsley in 2009, discovered  in late 2010 that she had contracted the virus. Billingsley had been her only partner and had insisted they not use protection, leading her to contact authorities right away.

Billinglsey, when questioned, admitted he had had HIV since 2008 and had been having unprotected sex with various women over the years.

“He is truly a snake in the grass. His sentence brings some justice to his known victim and provides a measure of protection for so many others,” Assistant District Attorney Joshua Ross said to the North Dallas Gazette.

After his original arrest, Billinglsey could have gotten off with probation, but the multiple testimonies against him will instead put him away - rightfully - for a decade and a half.
