War Veteran, 68, Beat To Death Woman And Her Caretaker WITH A HAMMER

(iWIDK By Allie Beauregard) – An elderly alcoholic took two lives at a group home before attempting to take his own.

On Sunday David Settle, 68, was arrested for murdering fellow resident Henry Namett, 82, and employee Elenita Ablao, 59, at his assisted living home in Las Vegas after he hit each in the head with a hammer at least 20 times. 

When his motives for the murders were questioned by the police, Settle said he didn’t know why he did it, but that Namett would “smile and wave at him” and that Ablao “cooked his meals.”  He detailed that he “liked both of them,” but was admittedly an alcoholic, according to 8 News Now.

The police report also revealed that Settle believed the home’s owner was stealing from him and denying him AA meetings.

After killing the Namett and Ablao, Settle reportedly went out to buy wine and cigars, and then cut his ankles with a knife, hoping to bleed to death.

He was revived after being found unconscious in his bed, bleeding with only a diaper on, and will now face the legal repercussions for the murders.
