A 6-year-old student in Montgomery County reportedly was suspended for making a gun with his hands and pretending to shoot another student.
According to Washington Examiner, this was not the first incident with the child, but the boy’s family was never notified about any previous issues.
A letter was sent out to the child’s parents informing them of their son’s suspension the day of the incident.
“They could have called the mother in. They didn’t do that. They just said, ‘You’re suspended,’” the boy’s attorney said. “Five years from now, when someone in Montgomery County looks at his permanent record, they’re going to see that he threatened to shoot another student.”
The student served a one-day suspension.
