This video captures the mostly inaccurate “subtext” we garner from text messages.

 I will be the first to admit that I’m guilty of this, to a degree less severe than in the video.

There was a time (a couple months ago) when I would think you hated me if you sent me a one-word response to a text message. Which means I would be totally done with texting you (for the next few hours) and start to reflect on our friendship and where it stands.

Okay, I started to exaggerate a little bit there, but you get the point. This video actually raises a lot of interesting questions about how basic human communication is evolving in today’s society.

So let’s all vow to call at least 2 of the people you were going to text today, so this thing doesn’t get out of hand and we all remain besties.
