Father Killed Daughter, 11, By HOG-TYING Her To Bed, Duct-Taping Her Mouth Shut During BEATINGS

(iWIDK By Allie Beauregard) – A sister to five died after years of being abused like she was an animal as others fear for her siblings.

On Decemeber 17, after almost 2 weeks of hospitalization, an 11-year-old from Sarasota, FL named Melissa passed away as a result of brain damage and lack of oxygen after being repeatedly beaten and allegedly hog-tied by her father Kenneth Stoddard, 35.

Authorities were called to the Stoddard household on December 12 when it was reported that Melissa had stopped breathing.

After she was rushed to All Children’s Hospital in St. Petersburg doctors found severe marks on all her limbs, suggesting restraint.

Further examination lead to the conclusion that Melissa was actually brain-dead after being deprived of oxygen for so long.

Investigators told News Channel 5 that evidence at the Stoddard home revealed Melissa would be left alone in the empty backyard pool while tied up to boards for unknown amounts of time.

Kenneth Stoddard was arrested under suspicion of aggravated child abuse, and Melissa’s five siblings have been removed from the home by Children and Family Services.
