Kat Von D and Deadmau5 Got Engaged Via Twitter

DJ Deadmau5 asked tattoo artist Kat Von D to be his wife using social media.

Dlisted referred to the announcement as “The Douchiest Proposal Ever.”

I have always thought of Twitter as the least romantic of all social media platforms–its so limiting; sometimes I feel like the intention behind your tweet can easily be lost between all of the hashtags.

But these two idiots got their point across with a straightforward “will you marry me?” followed by a straightforward “Yes!”

Deadmau5 then tweeted his tender reflection: “holy f-ckng sh-t.  im engaged and stuff.”
