(iWIDK By Allie Beauregard) – Sadly, another suspected case of shaken-baby syndrome led to a lost life and a convicted parent.

Ryan Trowbridge, 22, was given a life sentence for first-degree murder and child endangerment on Tuesday after his trial in August for killing his 4-month-old daughter Rylee in 2010 in Ankeny, IA.
According to the original police report, on July 12, 2010 Trowbridge called 911 when he found the baby between his nightstand and bed where he had left her for a nap, and showed no signs of breathing.
Though Rylee was rushed to Iowa Methodist Medical Center, she could not be saved, and was then examined by physicians.
What they found were injuries common to infant victoms of strangling.
Judge Scott Rosenburg announced in court this week, following Trowbridge’s bench trial, that “the defendant, as shown by the facts and circumstances and the medical evidence, acted intentionally, willfully and deliberately…” as later reported by the Des Moines Register.
As her monster of a father is locked away, Rylee’s passing is still mourned by the rest of her family.
