(iWIDK By Alex Dorian) – Medical researchers utilized their imagination to communicate with their patient.

Professor Adrian Owen, at the University of Western Ontario formulated a revolutionary method to communicate with one of his patients, Scott Routley, who has been in a vegetative state for nearly ten years.
BBC News reported that Owen and his team asked Routley a series of questions while hooked up to an fMRI machine. The patient was instructed to think of playing tennis to answer “no” and walking around his house to answer “yes”
The researchers claimed that the two distinguished thoughts activated different areas of the brain, which gave doctors the ability to decipher between “yes” and “no” answers.
Routley assured the doctors that “he isn’t in any pain”.
