Mother Claims She Is A ‘Great Mother’ After Abandoning 10-Month-Old-Son Roadside Near PILE OF TRASH

(iWIDK by Daniel Kiely) – A woman is accused of leaving her ten-month-old child on the road by some trash so she could make a dinner date.

Katelynne Rose Devine, 23, of Stanly, North Carolina is charged with contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile after her boyfriend, Aaron Miller, 24,  accused her of leaving their ten-month-old child near a pile of trash in front of Miller’s house.

According to the Gaston Gazette, Devine stopped at Miller’s house and asked him to watch the child while she ate dinner with her sister. When Miller refused, Devine placed the child on the ground and left.

Devine claimed that she left the child in Miller’s arms and it was Miller who left the child in the yard. ”I’m a great mother. This is crazy,” said the defandant. “I would never put my child in harm’s way.”

Devine posted $5,000 bail and was released from custody. If convicted she could be required to perform community service – picking up trash.
