Foxconn is one of the main suppliers to electronics companies around the world, including Apple.

Tech Crunch reports that the riot began after a guard struck a worker, and quickly escalated into a massive brawl, with several people being hospitalized.

It is believed the riot occurred due to the incredibly harsh working conditions enforced by factory bosses, which include compulsory over-time.

China’s version of Google, Weibo, featured videos and photos of the incident, although these were all quickly removed.

It has been reported that the factory is responsible for making the backs of Apple’s iPhone 5 smartphones.

Foxconn closed the factory following the incident on Sunday.
