(iWIDK By Nina Hoffman) - Two caregivers have been caught on tape abusing the trust of their employers.

Michael Garritson and Matthew McDuffie of Valley Center, California were secretly filmed while looking after 23-year-old autistic man James Oakley- and police say the tapes reveal severe levels of abuse.
The tapes show Garritson and McDuffie punching, slapping and twisting the arm of Oakley, who is a non-verbal autistic.
Oakley’s mother became concerned abuse may have been occurring when she noticed that the baby monitor cord, which she used to observe what was happening in his bedroom, had been cut.
She had surveillance equipment installed and over a three-week period recorded over 2,000 individual instances of abuse.
Sheriff Sgt. Mark Varnau told UT San Diego the videos showed some of the worst abuse he had ever seen.
The men had worked for the Oakley family for over two years, and it is unclear how long the beatings had been going on.
After reviewing the tapes, arrest warrants were issued for both men.
Garritson was arrested on Wednesday and charged with multiple felony counts of abusing an adult dependent. McDuffie voluntarily turned himself in after a public police search.

This is sick! Those people are sick!
The boy is not a vegetable, or a toy or an object. He understands what is happening, but he cannot speak or defend himself.
Why in the world would someone do something like that to another living creature, especially to a person so innocent like that boy?!?
