Woman Sues Walmart After Employees Foolishly Ripped Her $100 Bills Believing They Were COUNTERFEITS

(iWIDK By Aaron Lanton) - In San Antonio, Texas, Julia Garcia is suing Wal Mart stores after employees ripped up her $100 bills because they believed the money was counterfeit.

According to Courthouse News, Garcia was Christmas shopping when two cashiers made the determination that her money was illegitimate, ripped the respective bills in half and told her to call the police is she wanted to file a complaint.

Garcia was held in a Wal Mart office for more than two hours until officiers arrived at the scene and confirmed that the $100 bill was real.

Walmart employees apoligized profusely but Garcia is going ahead with her lawsuit.

She is suing for damages for false imprisonment and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
