The California mother was alerted to the posts when relatives and friends began calling to offer condolences for her son, Javier Ramirez.

Confused, she went on Facebook where she found a memorial page dedicated to Liddo Honest with pictures of Javier.

According to the Orange County Register, the page had been set up by a 14-year-old boy from Javier’s old day care center after another class mate “jokingly” told him the boy had died.

After the teen had set up the page, his friend attempted to contact him to correct the mistake, but couldn’t reach him, as the page reached 8,000 “likes”.

In an interview with NBC 4, Javier expressed confusion over the story and told reporters that the incident had made him feel scared.
