(iWIDK By Christine Ribeiro) - Demi Lovato reportedly wishes she had not had 12 tattoos done before her life hit two decades.

According to Us Weekly, in regard to removal, Lovato said, ”I’ve thought about it before because, you know, when I get older I don’t know if I want to have ‘rock and roll’ on my middle finger,” she explained. “But I’m young and I can rock it now. When I get older, I can worry about it later.”
Perhaps she would not have been so erratic with her choices and would have thought more before acting, had she gotten the tattoos at an older age.
I think tattoos appeal because, although more socially acceptable than they once were, there is still a shock factor to some extent.
Lovato might have felt so empowered by the freedom of choice that she acted on impulse.
Her tales of regret should prove exemplary to others looking to get a number of tattoos before they are of maturity to know how many and what kind of tattoos that would like.
It is true, tattoos can be removed for the most part, but regret and more pain are spared when there is legitimate thought behind a tattoo.
Thank you, Lovato, for being ever so candid and for reminding us that the decision to get a tattoo can have consequences, just as any other decision.
Proceed with caution.
