Spanish ‘Robin Hood’ Takes Neighborhood By Storm – Steals From Supermarkets To Feed The Poor

(iWIDK by Emma Giebler) – Juan Manuel Sanchez Gordillo led raids on local supermarkets and then distributed the food to families hit hardest by Spain’s recent economic crisis. 

According to Daily Mail, Mr. Gordillo stated “There are families who don’t have enough to eat. In the 21st century, this is an absolute disgrace.”

In the Andalusia region, 33% of the population are unemployed.

Other local leaders have been encouraged to follow Mr. Gordillo’s actions to help rally the economy and lifestyle of those suffering in Spain.
