Mariah Carey REPLACES Jennifer Lopez As A Judge Of AMERICAN IDOL

(iWIDK by Cheyenne Pons) - At the Summer TV Press Tour 2012 on Monday, Fox programming chief Kevin Reilly announced that Mariah Carey will replace Jennifer Lopez as the female judge of  Season 12 of American Idol.

According to Daily Mail, Carey’s salary is said to be between $12-$17 million.

To announce the big news, Reilly called Carey on speakerphone at the Press Tour so she could share her excitement with the crowd.

Carey says that she can’t wait to “help find and nurture new talent.”
