Inspiring – Couple Finds Bag Containing $13,000 On Garage Can – RETURNED IT TO OWNER

(iWIDK by Cameron Guignet) - Kenneth and Kristy Allen, found a bag containing nearly thirteen-thousand dollars and, instead of keeping it for themselves, returned the money to its rightful owner.

According to the Huffington Post, the couple was at a convenience store when they spotted a bag, which contained a wallet, a bottle of cologne and exactly $12,764 in cash, sitting on top of a trash can.

Kenneth immediately attempted to contact the owner by using the name on the driver’s license in the wallet.

The owner, a 51-year-old man, was actually hospitalized shortly after leaving the store.  According to the security cameras at the store, the man had been acting strange before leaving and forgetting the bag.

After speaking with Kenneth, the man was extremely grateful and thanked him for his good deed. Kenneth, however, was modest. “It’s the right thing to do and its just a shame that people now think that doing the right thing is extraordinary,” he said of his actions.
