(iWIDK By Mike Finiello) - A man is arrested for hitting a pedestrian and trying to flee with them attached to his vehicle.

Frank Rega, 56, of Monroe, Connecticut is being charged with first-degree reckless endangerment, reckless driving, evading responsibility and driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol when he struck a 23 year old woman and drove off with her attached to the side fender of his mini-van.
According to Daily Mail, the woman, who was standing in front of a disabled vehicle, began screaming and punching Vega in the face in an effort to make him stop driving. Eventually the woman fell off but sustained a head injury.
When Rega was arrested later at his home he claimed his actions were done out of self defense.
Rega was released after he posted his $500 bail.
