340 Pound Woman Attempts To Steal Bacon, Beer, And Chicken Wings By Attacking Staff With Pepper Spray

(iWIDK By Ashley Woodhouse) – A large customer tried to rob a Piggly Wiggly grocery store.

A 340-pound Georgia woman, Lonneshia Shafaye Appling, 26, punched, spit on, and pepper-sprayed a Piggly Wiggly employee when she was attempting to steal beer, bacon, cheese, and chicken wings on Wednesday afternoon.

According to Online Athens, a customer notified an employee around 5:15pm that Appling was stashing groceries in a cavas bag in her shopping cart.

Appling shoved $88.27 worth of food and drink into her bag before she attempted to check out, only putting one item on the counter.

Cops did an inventory of the items that Appling tried to steal, which came out to, five packages of cheese, eight cans of Coors Light, vegetable oil, chicken wings, and five packages of bacon.

She was charged with, including aggravated assault, theft, simple battery, and disorderly conduct.
