Hang Glider Gripped Pilot’s Legs Before Slipping And PLUNGING 1000 FEET To Her Death

(iWIDK By Mike McCurdy) – A young woman slid from her harness and plummeted to the ground.

Lenami Dafne Godinez, 27, was killed after an error occurred 30 seconds after take-off during hang gliding lessons her boyfriend bought her for their anniversary.

According to KSEE24 News, Godinez’s boyfriend was filming the incident from the ground, waiting for his turn to come.

Godinez began to slip out of the harness as she and the pilot left the ground. The instructor tried wrapping his legs around the woman to prevent her fall but it was too little too late.

Police are chalking the accident up to either pilot error or equipment failure. The pilot who accompanied Godinez was not brought up on charges and hs name has not been released.
