Man Accidentally Shoots Himself And Wife During GUN SAFETY CLASS

(WIDK By Ashley Woodhouse) – A man and his wife are recovering after he shot them both accidentally during a safety class on firearms.

On Saturday during a firearms safety class in Bedford, Virginia, Michael L. Deel, 54, shot himself in the hand with a .45-caliber handgun and with the same bullet shot his wife, Michelle, 49, in the leg.

Thomas Starke, the instructor told police that he left the room and soon heard a shot.

The couple was taken to a local hospital and were treated for injuries that were not life threatening.

The shooting was a ‘stupid accident’ according to Deel.
